Looking After Your Layday
We want you to enjoy your towels for for many Summer's to come. To keep them looking great & feeling soft, follow the tips below.
Firsts Things First
Sure, your Layday will dry you fresh out of the pack, but 2 wash cycles straight up will kick-start a long term drying relationship.
1. For Wash #1, add 1/2 a cup of white vinegar to a warm machine cycle. This will strip the natural waxes from the yarn and allow optimum absorbency. No need to add any detergents.
2. While your towel is still wet from Wash #1, wash again on a warm cycle with 1/2 a cup of Bicarbonate Soda. This will tighten the weave and prevent the fabric from snagging. Again, no need to add any detergents to this cycle.
You're Layday's are now good to go!
For your standard care, we recommend:
- Cold machine wash with like colours on a gentle cycle
- Tumble dry on low
- Avoid Fabric Softeners
- Do not Bleach
Good things come to those who wait
Our towels get better with age, which is why optimal absorbency comes after 3-6 wash-dry cycles. The natural cotton fibres become softer and more absorbent with time as the natural waxes strip from the yarn. So hang tight, optimal absorbency is on it's way!
